Riesling "Cuvée Sainte Catherine" Vendanges Tardives A.O.C. Alsace 2007
12,5 % alc./vol.
Limestone and chalky clay.
Direct gentle pneumatic pressing (vertical drains ensuring the premium quality of the grape juices), clarifying, controlled fermentation temperatures, racking and maturing on fine lees for 4 months. Maturing in vats for 5 months before bottling.
Dry and refined Riesling exhales a sophisticated bouquet with mineral (flint stone), floral and delicate fruit nuances evoking citrus, pine sap and cinnamon notes. Its robe is an intense, at once brilliant and limpid, golden yellow color. The nose is underscored by jammy citrus aromas. The attack is silky and ripe on the palate. This Riesling's matter is rich and strong. Despite its well-ripened and discrete acidity, it displays good freshness on the palate, as well as plenty of volume. Perfectly well-balanced this wine is persistent and complex on the finish, harmoniously combining honey, jam and hazelnut aromas.
When it comes to gastronomy, Riesling is perfectly suited to seafood such as fish, either grilled or served with a sauce, shellfish and seafood or oysters.
10 and 12°C.
Can be kept for up to 8 years.
